So Easy to Gain, So Hard to Lose

It takes me about two weeks to lose four pounds. Two weeks of low carbs, calorie-counting, StairMaster  Zumba, yoga, elliptical, treadmill, rowing machines, long weekend hikes and general hard work. I ate out three days in a row and skipped Zumba on Friday and voila…I gained four pounds! My overall trend has been pretty good…I’ve lost about 30 pounds in the last three months, but it’s so frustrating that it’s so easy to gain weight and so hard to lose weight. I remember when I was in  my teens and early twenties the weight melted off. I could easily lose five pounds in a week with much less exercise and attention to what I was eating.

Oh well. Back to calorie counting and hardcore exercise this week! I guess I will take Alfie on a long walk now.
